One major difference between Magi Astrology and most other forms of astrology is that we use four charts. Other astrologers only use one. Learning about these four charts is essential.

• Planets: Symbols and Symbolisms

The symbolisms of the planets are very important to all astrologers. However, the symbolisms that Magi Astrologer's use is slightly different to those used by most other astrologers. Learning the symbolisms of the planets is the one of the first steps in learning Magi Astrology.

• Aspects

The aspects that occur between the planets are primary for Magi Astrologers. The aspects are used by all astrologers, but Magi Astrologers view some of the aspects differently to most others.

• Planetary Geometry

Planetary geometry is the different shapes made by three or more aspects joined together. These are considered extremely important in Magi Astrology and is one of the first things a Magi Astrologer looks at when analysing the charts.

• Midpoints

Midpoints are used by other astrologers and are a more advanced subject of study. Some of the midpoints are considered to be crucial and are usually included when analysing the charts.

• Transits

The birth chart never changes, but the continually moving planets interact with it. These interactions are called transits and are a great tool in understanding what's going on at any point in time. Transits are essential tools in deciding when the best time is to do things (like start a new business/job or get married).

• Progressions

Progressions show long-term influences in the charts and these may last for over 100 years. They give an understanding of the setting or context of a person's life. Progressions are also important when dealing with non-living entities such as marriages, companies and countries.

• For the Sceptics

A sceptical approach to knowledge is an important aspect of critical thinking. However, it is absurd for anyone to make a judgement of something they know very little about. This is like saying you hate the colour blue because an older sibling once told you that blue is ugly and stupid. You can only make informed decisions when you know the relevant facts. Many of the things sceptics have against astrology are based on ignorance of the subject.

Determining Parallels and Contra-Parallels

Parallels and Contra-Parallels in Declination

You might want to consider determining parallels and contra-parallels between planets in synastry. I generally do consider them, although I don't always use them if I am doing a quick analysis. If you want to know how to determine parallels and contra-parallels in declination, click here.

Parallels are likened to conjunctions, and contra-parallels to oppositions. When planets form an aspect to one another in synastry and are also parallel to each other, the parallel acts to reinforce that aspect.

I read parallels in synastry as easy, natural, and spontaneous connections between the two energies represented by the planets involved. The interplay is easier than the conjunction, and the affinity is spontaneous. I have also found that Saturn parallels to personal planets are a little easier than the conjunctions in synastry. The Saturn person is not as inclined to criticism or control as is often the case when it is an interaspect in synastry. The stabilizing influence of Saturn is more prominent. When the planets involved are yin and yang (such as Sun with Moon, Moon with Mars, Venus with Mars, etc.), we have some wonderful connections.

To illustrate how to determine whether or not a planet is parallel or contra-parallel in declination, we use the following example:

This is a list of the natal positions of my planets (and asteroids) from the Kepler software program.

To find out which planets are parallel and contra-parallel, we look to the listing with the heading "Declin" for Declinations.

We are using a one degree orb.

My Sun's declination is 1N51. Scanning down, we see that Saturn, at 1N32, is numerically close to the Sun. We can say that my Sun is parallel Saturn. My Sun is also parallel Uranus, Juno, and Chiron.

My Moon's declination is 3S00. Scanning down, we find Uranus numerically close at 2N42. We have an aspect here, but because one is South and the other is North, we know that Moon is contra-parallel Uranus.

If we were to compare my planets with those of another person, we would use the same basic method. Here's a second person's planet position listing:

If we take his Sun with a declination of 14N09, and then scan down my list for something numerically close (within one degree, which is 60 minutes), we find that his Sun is parallel my Jupiter at 14N04, for starters. We can go through the lists and determine all of the parallels and contra-parallels in synastry in this manner.

We have a declinations ephemeris for the years 1940-2015.

For those of you who use the software at Astrodienst.com, you can determine the declinations by clicking on their Extended Chart Selection after you've entered both people's birth data. Make sure that both people are selected, and then you can select the chart type, "Synastry Chart (2)". This will bring up a bi-wheel chart. Somewhere near the top, you can click on the link "Click to get the additional tables". You'll come up with planet lists that include declinations for both people (plus an aspect grid) all on one page. Very handy!

One should avoid in Marriage Chart

We regard a marriage as being tragic if at least one of the spouses dies a tragic and untimely death while they were married. An example of such a marriage would be that of John Kennedy, Jr. and Carolyn Bassette.

We regard a marriage as being a heartbreak if the spouses divorce and at least one of them suffers a gut-wrenching heartbreak. An example of a heartbreak marriage would be that of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Although Diana died in a tragic and untimely manner, she was not married at the time so we would regard her marriage as a heartbreaking one, and her life as a tragic one.

The Magi Society's research has uncovered the astrological signs of tragic and heartbreak marriages; we have learned that the astrological warnings of a tragic marriage are different from those of a heartbreak marriage. On this website, we will be teaching the astrology of both of these types of marriages.

We will begin by teaching the astrology of tragic marriages because they are the worst kind - the reason is that when someone dies in a marriage, that person does not have another chance at happiness.

THE ASTROLOGY OF TRAGIC MARRIAGES

After completing research on over 60 thousand marriages, we have found that virtually all tragic marriages have a very similar type of Planetary Geometry, which we call HAZARDOUS PLANETARY GEOMETRY.

The PLANETARY GEOMETRY of a chart is any line (or lines), shape, or pattern that is formed when connecting lines are drawn between the planets that are in "meaningful" alignment at the time of the chart.

Hazardous Planetary Geometry is Planetary Geometry where there is a "dominance of Turbulent Angles made by Saturn."

IN A MARRIAGE CHART, TURBULENT ANGLES BY SATURN CAN CREATE HAZARDOUS PLANETARY GEOMETRY.

For thousands of years, and ever since the very birth of astrology, astrologers realized that Saturn was different from any of the other planets primarily because Saturn was associated with problems. For this reason, astrologers viewed Saturn as a MALEFIC.

Then beginning about 1925 and for the next 75 years or so, many astrologers tried to rewrite astrology by pretending that Saturn was not a malefic. Such astrologers are referred to as Saturn Revisionists.

The Saturn Revisionists tell us and try to convince us that transits made by Saturn are good because they think Saturn is the "teacher." They also claim that Saturn aspects are good and we should try to include them when selecting a day to do something important, like getting married.

The Saturn Revisionists are completely wrong about this.

In our third book, we explained that all aspects in the birth chart of a human being are gifts of special talents from God. This includes Saturn aspects.

BUT SATURN IS A PROBLEM EVERYWHERE ELSE.

For example, transits by Saturn are all bad, even the ones made at 120 degrees and zero degrees.

And all Saturn aspects that occur in a Marriage Chart are signs of problems.

Since there are so many angles and planets for Saturn to make an aspect, there is almost always a Saturn Aspect on any given day. But some Saturn Aspects are much worse than others for a marriage.

In a Marriage Chart, the worst Saturn Aspects are ones that Saturn makes to Chiron and the Sun. This is because in a Marriage Chart, the Sun represents the actual marriage itself, and because Chiron rules marriages.

If a marriage takes place on a day when Saturn makes a Turbulent Angle to both the Sun and Chiron, Saturn creates HAZARDOUS PLANETARY GEOMETRY and the marriage can be very troublesome.

Three ingredients necessary for a happy and long-live marriage

As a result of the research we recently concluded by analyzing the astrology of 60 thousand marriages, we discovered three astrological conditions that are highly beneficial to a marriage. A Magical Marriage can be attained only if all three of the astrological conditions exist in the marriage. Here are the three necessary astrological ingredients for a Magical Marriage:

1. Mutual True Love

2. Marrying during an Ideal Astrological Day

3. Marrying when both spouses are having Cinderella Transits

Because of our recent discoveries in the astrology of love and marriages, it is now finally possible to use astrology to help us attain all three.

Below are details about all three of these Magical ingredients.

THE FIRST INGREDIENT NECESSARY FOR A MAGICAL MARRIAGE IS

MUTUAL TRUE LOVE

We probably all have had the experience of thinking we were in love and that we were also loved in return, only to end up finding out we were wrong. It used to be that astrology could not help us know if mutual love could develop between two persons. But Magi Astrology can help us know this. After concluding a study of over 50 thousand love unions in 1998, the Magi Society discovered exactly what are the most reliable astrological indicators of mutual true love. Unless a man and woman form CINDERELLA LINKAGES, it is highly unlikely that they can be in love with each other. Discovery One:

Even if two persons are very much in love at the time when they marry, if the couple is unfortunate enough to marry on a TURBULENT ASTROLOGICAL DAY, their love for each other will most likely fade and the marriage will most likely fail.

A Turbulent Astrological Day is a day when there is an overwhelming amount of Turbulent Angles made by the planets, especially Saturn. When this website is fairly complete by the end of 2002, it will provide you with many examples of marriages that took place during Turbulent Astrological Days so you will learn exactly what a Turbulent Astrological Day is.

Women's magazines give a lot of advice about marriages and the causes of divorce. But the advice we get from women's magazines about why marriages end in divorce is incomplete. Most magazines tell us that the majority of divorces are a result of infidelity, or a lack of financial security, or the fact the couple drifted apart and became very different from the way they were when they were wed, or because there is no longer mutual love. But those magazines do not deal with the WHY.

Ultimately, the above "reasons" are really only SYMPTOMS of the fact the couple married during a Turbulent Astrological Time. We believe that the biggest REASON for failed marriages is that couples get married on the wrong day. Turbulent Astrological Days are bad days to get married. When a couple marries, the act of marrying creates their Marriage Chart, which is the astrological chart of the time they marry. If a couple marries on a bad astrological day, it creates a bad Marriage Chart and the chances of an ultimate divorce are high. So high that the chances of divorce are intolerably high.

But here is the good news: If we marry on a good astrological day, our marriage will be good no matter how bad the odds are against us. This is our second discovery.

Discovery Two:

The power and importance of the Marriage Chart is so great and so Magical that even if two persons seem to have everything stacked against them, if they marry on an astrologically Magical day, their marriage can be Magical.

There are countless examples of this.

We have all heard of "rags-to-riches" stories and many of us dream of being so lucky. But guess what? It was not luck at all but the Magical stars. If you trace true life Cinderella stories step by step, most "rags-to-riches" stories are really about two average souls who were blessed enough to have fallen in love and gotten married on a Magical Astrological Day and AFTERWARDS against all odds became successful.

Everyone agrees about the importance of choosing the right person to marry. But believe it or not, it is just as important that we also choose the best time to marry.

We all know someone who has had the following type of experience:

The person we know was in love and the love appeared to be mutual. The couple decides to make a lifelong romantic commitment to each other by getting married and they actually decide on a date to marry. But nothing works for the date they had chosen - the caterers or banquet halls they want are all booked on their chosen date. One or more of their parents cannot attend on the date they had chosen. What they should have done was to hold a simple matrimonial ceremony on a date chosen by using Magi Astrology, and then redo their vows in a Big Wedding ceremony with the parents, the banquet, etc. You see, their Marriage Chart is the chart of the FIRST time they exchanged vows, and not the second time.

The only criteria for a wedding date should be that the day must be an ideal astrological day to marry. We already learned we should only marry someone we love and we should do so only on a day that has Magical Planetary Geometry. But those are only two of the ingredients needed to have a Magical Marriage. There is a third.

The third ingredient for a Magical Marriage is to be married on a day when both the man and woman are having a Cinderella Transit. In order to have a Magical Marriage, you and your spouse must both be having Cinderella Transits when you marry.

There are two types of ways for a Cinderella Transit to occur:

First: A Cinderella Transit occurs whenever transiting Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto (and to a lesser degree the Sun) is making a Magical Angle to the natal Chiron.

Second: A Cinderella Transit occurs whenever transiting Chiron makes a Magical Angle to natal Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto.

If you marry during one of your Cinderella Transits, it means that you form a Cinderella Linkage to your Marriage Chart. This also means you have a Golden Linkage to your Marriage Chart because every Cinderella Linkage is a Golden Linkage. Therefore, by marrying during your Cinderella Time, your marriage will help you to become successful (which is a likely result of the Golden Linkage) and you will be attached and committed to the marriage (the likely result of the Cinderella Linkage).

The more Cinderella Transits you have when you marry, the more magic there will be in your marriage. But you and your spouse must BOTH be having Cinderella Transits when you marry, otherwise it will not work nearly as well because the marriage would not be Magical for both of you.

Magi Principle One About Love: You are most likely to meet your true love during a time when you are having at least one Cinderella Transit.

Magi Principle Two About Love: The more Cinderella Transits you are having at a particular time, the more likely it is that you will meet your true love at that time.

Magi Principle Three About Love: If you meet someone for the first time while you are having a Heartbreak Transit, it is likely any relationship with this new person will end up inflicting a heartbreak on you. This is true even if you are also having any Cinderella Transit(s) at the time.

Magi Principle Four About Love: Unless two lovers form at least one Romantic Super Linkage, there is only a small chance the two persons would actually ever marry. This is true no matter how much they think they are in love.

[In our opinion, this is the most valuable discovery in all of astrology. There is something mystically amazing about a Romantic Super Linkage. It is not just an astrological sign but it seems to have the ability to create the circumstances that are necessary for two persons to actually get married. For example, when couples form a Romantic Super Linkage, it is less likely that another person will come along to break the couple up. On the other hand, if a couple do not form a Romantic Super Linkage, there almost always seems to be something that prevents a marriage from occurring. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are a good example of this – they do not form a Romantic Super Linkage.]

Magi Principle Five About Love: If two persons form a Heartbreak Clash, there is a high probability that their relationship will result in heartbreak. But heartbreak is not inevitable for the couple – the couple can avoid heartbreak if they marry on a day that is astrologically highly favorable for both of them, in which case their marriage can be both happy and lifelong. (God smiles on lovers and gave us the Gift of Marriage to help us overcome Heartbreak Clashes – a great Marriage Chart blesses us in many other ways, such as good health and financial security, wonderful children, etc.)

[In most cases, a Heartbreak Clash has two phases: the Illusion Phase and the Disillusionment Phase. During the Illusion Phase, a Heartbreak Clash between two persons creates strong attraction and the illusion of being in love – the two persons do not see each other’s faults. During the Disillusionment Phase of a Heartbreak Clash, the two persons see each other’s faults, which normally results in resentment, falling out of love and heartbreak. The Illusion Phase can last for years, even decades. The Disillusionment Phase lasts the rest of the couple’s lives. The only way to avoid the Disillusionment Phase of a Heartbreak Clash is to marry on a very good astrological day.]

Magi Principle Six About Love: A Sexual Linkage is not a sign of love; but Sexual Linkages create the illusion of love, especially when two persons are young. When two persons form a Sexual Linkage, they have to be especially careful in order to not mistake lust for love.

[Sexual Linkages are signs of great attraction; such attraction can be so intense that many couples mistake it for love, especially if they are young. The more Sexual Linkages that a couple form, the greater the attraction and the more intense the illusion of being in love. Therefore, if two persons think they are in love and they form one or more Sexual Linkages, they have to be especially careful in order to avoid mistaking lust for love. Sexual Linkages are not astrological signs of love; Romantic Super Linkages are.]

Magi Principle Seven About Love: Similarity does not mean compatibility. Linkages are signs of true compatibility between two souls. The more Linkages any couple forms, the more compatible they are.

[When two persons have a SIMILARITY of personality traits, it does NOT mean the two are TRULY compatible. There is great truth and wisdom to the old adage “Opposites attract.” Two persons who are vastly different can still form fabulous linkages and therefore fall in love, and be eternally compatible. God designed the world to be this way so that there is someone perfect for each and every one of us.]

Magi Principle Eight About Love: Incompatibility is not the result of two persons being different. Clashes are the true signs of incompatibility and stress between two souls. The more Clashes any two persons form, the more incompatible they are and the more stress their relationship will have.

Magi Principle Nine About Love: When two persons form more Clashes than Linkages, the two souls are not compatible and are not likely to fall in love, and stay in love.

Magi Principle Ten About Love: No matter how much two persons love each other, and no matter how well their two astrological charts match up, if the two persons get married on a horrible astrological day, their marriage would still be tumultuous and stressful, and probably result in heartbreak. Happiness can be attained by getting married on a perfect astrological day, if the date is properly selected utilizing Magi Astrology.

In Magi Astrology, Conjunctions, Trines and Parallels between charts are linkages.

The Quincunx and Contraparallel between planets are linkages UNLESS one of the planets is Saturn. In that case the aspect is a clash.

Squares and Oppositions are always clashes regardless of the planets involved.

A note on orbs: More exact orbs are more powerful than wider orbs. Aspects with the tightest orbs are the most significant aspects in CAC's.

All romantic super linkages are not created equal

Another consideration is that even though all romantic super-linkages are indicative of soulmate potential, they are not all created equal in terms of the total energies they bring to a relationship. They differ depending upon the planets involved, the aspects involved and their exactness, and any planetary geometry that is created.

Romantic super-linkages comprised of the romance planets- Venus, Neptune, and Chiron, are the most romantic. Romantic super-linkages including Sun, Earth, Moon, Jupiter and/or Pluto, are also typically good. Saturn in a romantic super-linkage will act to bind a couple but will not bring joy, and can bring difficulties, though the whole romantic super-linkage will need to be analyzed to assess Saturn's effects. Uranus adds a note of distance or fluctuation to a romantic super-linkage. Mars in a romantic super-linkage can add more drive to marry, but can also incline a couple toward disputes. Planetary geometry also impacts the interpretation of romantic super-linkages. A grand trine is the most favorable geometry for a romantic super-linkage. Mystical triangles and yods can also be favorable, depending on the planets involved and their positions. T-squares and Grand Crosses, while typically unfavorable, would have to include a linkage to Chiron somewhere and so would have to be assessed in light of that, but would still be likely indicators of difficulties for the couple.
