Full moon and lunar eclipse in the houses

by Café Astrology

Look to the position of the transiting Full Moon by house in any given month for areas of your life that will be illuminated abruptly.

While the New Moon is introspective, the Full Moon is public. It fairly bursts forth with energy. The emotional proclamations made now appear new and unrefined, simply because they are expressed as a burst of energy that has not yet been rationalized. Yes, they can be "loony" and sometimes "infantile", but the surge of emotional energy can spur us into healthy action nevertheless. We need to get something out of our systems. We are in need of validation in the areas stimulated by the Full Moon.

Even though the emotional energy associated with the Full Moon seems new because it is so raw, it's only the expression of it that is new. The truth is, the desire for change has been sitting with us for a while now, but we haven't yet had the energy or impetus to do anything about it. That is the beauty of the Full Moon! Still, we need to be aware that there is a tendency to project our own state of restlessness or frustrations onto others. We are especially emotional now, and need to avoid blaming outside circumstances or other people for our own frustrations.

The Full Moon transiting the houses of the natal chart

Full Moon in the First House

"Hey, what about me?" is the feeling of a Full Moon in the first house. You're looking for a bit of attention right now as you feel that life has been too "other-oriented" recently. Try to avoid infantile outbursts. Instead, work on your self-assertiveness. You do count, and there are ways to assert your own needs without stepping on others' toes. Finding a balance between autonomy and dependence is what this Full Moon is about for you. Your emotions are on your sleeve right now. It is a good time to put your needs first, but doing so with respect for others will take you further. Whether you can succeed as a leader is "tested" right now.

Full Moon in the Second House

Intimacy, issues of power and control, or joint finances may have been a focus for the last two weeks. Now it's time to recognize what makes you comfortable. This Full Moon is about balancing the give and take of intimacy--the giving and receiving of pleasure. Sharing issues come into focus, as do issues of power--what's yours and what's mine. Your comfort zones matter, and now is the time to take care of your own needs without eclipsing the needs of others.

Full Moon in the Third House

The last two weeks have found you somewhat restless and in need of more from life than the mundane. Now the mundane is catching up with you. Errands need to be run, people are talking your ear off, you need to do some paperwork and answer calls. An important document could arrive, or a sudden need to run an important errand or to take a short trip could be part of the picture. You are pushed to find a balance now. Do what needs to be done so that you can free yourself up for more adventurous and fulfilling activities.

Full Moon in the Fourth House

The last two weeks have found you working hard towards your career goals and other public matters. The demands of your personal life are now paramount. Striking a balance between energy spent on work and energy spent on domestic matters is essential now. Balanced attention to your public and personal lives is what you need to focus on. It's time to prioritize. Otherwise, you run the risk of over-extending yourself. A home, family, or property matter could grab your complete attention at this time.

Full Moon in the Fifth House

You want to have fun, and the demands of your larger goals in life may have been eclipsing your pleasure-seeking activities. It can be hard to find time for everything you want to do, but without creative self-expression (be it romantic or playful), you simply won't feel complete. It's time to do something self-expressive, fun, and creative. You may be required to complete a creative project at this time. You could feel an overwhelming need to pour your heart out to a lover, or a romantic affair reaches some sort of epiphany. There could be a whirlwind of activity surrounding your child or children.

Full Moon in the Sixth House

You look in the mirror and say, "That's it! I'm starting that exercise program". You crush out a cigarette with disgust and decide to quit smoking. You throw up your arms and say that you can't take how your boss has been treating you. These are just some examples of a Full Moon transiting your sixth house. If it activates other personal planets, or if it's an eclipse, the more intense or dramatic your proclamations will be. Of course, you don't necessarily need to burst forth with emotional declarations, especially if you plan in advance. Avoid blaming others for your own state of discontent if that's how you are feeling right now. You can use this surge of emotional energy to make positive changes to your routines. Do something to improve your work conditions if they are annoying you--even if it's a small act of kindness with a co-worker or bringing in something to brighten up your desk or office. Get going on your exercise or nutrition program that you've been toying with in your mind. This may also be a time when a work project comes to fruition or completion.

Full Moon in the Seventh House

The New Moon was all about you. Now it's time to strike a balance with an "other". The seventh house represents an important one-to-one relationship--a marriage partner, significant other, business partner, or an adversary. It's time to strike a balance between your own needs and those of another. It's time to compromise and negotiate. Partnership "tests" are possible now, but so is a chance to truly connect to a special someone in your life.

Full Moon in the Eighth House

This Full Moon is all about give and take. What makes you feel comfortable and secure needs to be balanced with attention to other people's needs and comfort levels. It's a good time to settle some of your debts, financial or otherwise. You may be in a position wherein you are forced to make a financial settlement or large outlay of cash; or, you may find that you are leaned upon for support, financial or otherwise.

Full Moon in the Ninth House

Your attention to the logical world of reason has been a focus in the last two weeks. Now you feel a crisis of lack. Your personal beliefs may be tested now. Your impulses and faith matter, and all of the attention you've been giving to mundane affairs has you wondering when you're going to have some fun. You want to take a leap of faith now. Your adventurous side pushes up and out, demanding attention.

Full Moon in the Tenth House

You are suddenly in the limelight--everyone notices you now. It's time to put your best foot forward, but be sure to do so with grace and consideration for others, or you may just make a display that you regret later. Perhaps you've been hiding yourself away, taking it easy. Now you need a little attention, and career matters come to a head. You're called to perform, perhaps on a moment's notice, and it's best to keep your cool and do whatever you can to show your competence. A sudden job opportunity, or some form of assistance with regards to career, home, or property matters, could be part of the picture. This can also produce an event that requires you to take charge and show your responsible side.

Full Moon in the Eleventh House

You've been focusing on what brings you pleasure—your hobbies, romantic activities, and so forth. Now you realize that the role you play in others' lives (as a spouse, parent, friend) is an important element in your overall happiness. You're looking for validation from friends and group activities now. You may be called upon to perform a humanitarian gesture. For example, a friend may experience a little crisis and asks for your help. You may suddenly find yourself around many people, perhaps after a period of relative solitude or private time.

Full Moon in the Twelfth House

Circumstances are such that you have an overwhelming need to be alone. You've been busy with all sorts of everyday activities, deeply involved in your work and routines. It's time to balance your life with some down time—otherwise, you simply don't feel whole. Issues come to light that originate from deep within. It's an excellent time to get in touch with what's been brewing beneath the surface. A secret or private matter may be revealed, a health matter could come to light, or a work project can reach culmination.

Lunar Eclipse in the houses

Possible issues for the eclipse's transit to natal houses:

A Lunar Eclipse in the first house, it may be time to change your image or redefine your personality in some manner. Finding a balance between autonomy and dependence is what this eclipse is about for you. Your emotions are on your sleeve right now. It is a good time to put your needs first, but doing so with respect for others will take you further. Whether you can succeed as a leader is "tested" right now. There may be some drama involving a significant other.

A Lunar Eclipse in the second house, you may get a cosmic push to make necessary financial changes in your life. Sharing issues come into focus, as do issues of power--what's yours and what's mine. Your comfort zones matter, and now is the time to take care of your own needs without eclipsing the needs of others. A financial settlement, the beginning or end of a particular debt, and other such scenarios can be part of the picture now.

A Lunar Eclipse in the third house, there may be some sort of drama surrounding communication, modes of transportation, schooling, mobility, neighbors, or siblings. Daily routines can change dramatically. There may be a major event in the life of a sibling. There could be a publishing offer or you might be in a position to promote yourself. Travel or education plans may come to fruition. You might gain an entirely different perspective on a matter.

A Lunar Eclipse in the fourth house, domestic conditions are illuminated. House repairs, family dramas, and other such issues need serious attention. The demands of your personal life are now paramount. Striking a balance between energy spent on work and energy spent on domestic matters is essential now. Balanced attention to your public and personal lives is what you need to focus on. It's time to prioritize. A major career project can come to fruition or completion.

A Lunar Eclipse in the fifth house, a romantic affair may be tested. If love is true, there's nothing to fear. The demands of your larger goals in life may have been eclipsing your pleasure-seeking activities. Also possible, your children may be going through their own changes and "stages", and need more attention now, or a child could be experiencing a major new beginning. Some might have a child. A new creative project might begin now.

A Lunar Eclipse in the sixth, there could be changes necessary in your job or health routines. You can use this surge of emotional energy to make positive changes to your routines. Do something to improve your work conditions if they are annoying you. Get going on your exercise or nutrition program that you know you have to do in order to feel more balanced. A work project or a job itself can begin or end now. A physical or mental health issue might come to light.

A Lunar Eclipse in the seventh house, partnerships may be tested, but there is nothing to fear if the relationship is strong. The seventh house represents an important one-to-one relationship--a marriage partner, significant other, business partner, or an adversary. It's time to strike a balance between your own needs and those of another. It's time to compromise and negotiate. You might suddenly find yourself with more social opportunities, or you might acquire many new clients.

A Lunar Eclipse in the eighth house, some drama with regards to a spouse's income, or your taxes, debts, and investments, may occur on a mundane level. It may be time to settle some of your debts, financial or otherwise. What makes you feel comfortable and secure needs to be balanced with attention to other people's needs and comfort levels. There can be new money coming into your life.

A Lunar Eclipse in the ninth house, your personal beliefs may be tested. Your hunger for adventure or learning may come into focus. All of the attention you've been giving to mundane affairs has you wondering when you're going to have some fun. You want to take a leap of faith now. There may be an important beginning or culmination in education. If you are in business, a writer, or the like, you might reach a wider audience.

A Lunar Eclipse in the tenth house, you may need to review and change your career goals. Career matters come to a head, but as the seventh house from the fourth, so might a personal, domestic, family, or house and home matter. You're called to perform, possibly on a moment's notice, and it's best to keep your cool and do whatever you can to show your competence.

A Lunar Eclipse in the eleventh house, friendships may be tested, or your relationship to groups or organizations. You're looking for validation from friends and group activities now. There can be a major event involving a child or a romantic partner, or a culmination of a creative project can occur at this time.

A Lunar Eclipse in the twelfth house, you may recognize an overwhelming need for rest and spiritual renewal. You've been busy with all sorts of everyday activities, deeply involved in your work and routines. It's time to balance your life with some down time--otherwise, you simply don't feel whole. There can be exposure of a private or even clandestine matter in some cases. Secrets can emerge at this time. A work project can come to fruition.

When to find love?

By Cosmitec Astrology
So, what are these simple methods to know when to find love?

Check the transiting Venus and Mars positions (I)

Whenever the planet of love (Venus) and the planet of instinctive drives and desires (Mars) transit your Sun sign, romance can be in the air. These are periods in which attraction rules and when you can increase the odds of finding love.
Also, when both transiting planets are in a sign that trines your Sun sign (i.e transiting Venus and Mars are in a sign of the same element as your Sun sign), it's a good time to find love.
The trine is a "no friction" aspect and love may enter your life "as unexpectedly as a thief in the night."
For your convenience we have calculated the dates when both transiting Venus and transiting Mars are in the same sign from 2006 till 2015, so that you can easily look up the dates when to find love!
  • October 1 - October 23, 2006: both planets are in the air sign Libra (favorable to Gemini, Libra or Aquarius)
  • October 25 - November 17, 2006: both planets are in the water sign Scorpio (favorable to Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces)
  • December 7 - December 11, 2006: both planets are in the fire sign Sagittarius (favorable to Aries, Leo or Sagittarius)

Check the transiting Venus and Mars positions (II)

From empirical research, we noticed that whenever the planet of love (Venus) and the planet of instinctive drives and desires (Mars) transit the zodiac sign that is opposite your Sun sign, romance can be in the air.

In many instances, we found that this period marks a time of (sexual) encounters and love. These are periods in which attraction rules and when you can increase the odds of finding love.
When both planets are in the zodiac sign opposite your own Sun sign, they are in your 7th solar house (the 7th house counting from your Sun sign) of encounters, the (significant) "other", meetings and relationships. That's why they may bring attraction and love.
For your convenience we have calculated the dates when both transiting Venus and transiting Mars are in the sign opposite the Sun sign from 2009 till 2020 so that you can easily look up when to find love!
  • April 24 - May 31, 2009: both planets are in the fire sign Aries denoting that Libra may find love in this time span
  • June 6 - July 5, 2009: both planets are in the earth sign Taurus denoting that Scorpio may find love in this time span
  • July 12 - August 1, 2009: both planets are in the air sign Gemini denoting that Sagittarius may find love in this time span
  • July 11 - July 29, 2010: both planets are in the earth sign Virgo denoting that Pisces may find love in this time span
  • August 8 - September 8, 2010: both planets are in the air sign Libra denoting that Aries may find love in this time span
  • September 15 - October 28, 2010: both planets are in the water sign Scorpio denoting that Taurus may find love in this time span

Check the progressed Moon-Venus aspects

Another very simple way to answer the question when to find love is by taking a look at your (secondary) progressed horoscope (1 day for a year).
If you don't have any astrology software to calculate your progressed charts, just visit Astrodienst's Web Site to get your free progressed charts, and so much more.
When to find love is easy because any time the progressed Moon aspects Venus with an orb of 1° love and romance may be in the air. Use all the aspects that are a multiple of 30, starting with 0° (the conjunction) and disregard the square (aspect of 90°).
Also, do not underestimate the converse progressions, they are as valuable as the direct progressions -- if not more!

Whenever transiting Jupiter and Saturn both make a major harmonious aspect (conjunction, sextile or trine) to the ruler (or co-ruler) of your 5th house of love, be prepared for an important and radical change in your love life. Use an orb of 3° and list the periods when both planets build such a soft aspect to know when to find love.
Note that we use the Topocentric house system because this system has giiven us the best results. Also try out the equal houses as they are most valuable too and give some additional information.
Also note that Aquarius, Scorpio and Pisces have two rulers:
  • Saturn and Uranus rule Aquarius
  • Mars and Scorpio rule Scorpio
  • Jupiter and Neptune rule Pisces
Often, the outer planets, Pluto, Neptune and even Uranus conjunct, sextile or trine the ruler of the 5th house may bring a profound change too. Uranus is often more short-lived though.

This rule is quite simple too if you want to know when to find love.
If you're a woman, check if the progressed Sun conjuncts your natal MC. Don't forget to take a look at the converse progressions too!
If you're a man, check if the progressed Moon conjuncts your natal MC. Don't forget to take a look at the converse progressions too!
Often, this way the Lights indicate when to find love when they culminate by bringing the archetypal male or female principle in the spotlight.

In our March 2005, Issue #4 of our Love Letter we discussed the 8-year cycle of Venus, planet of love.
Indeed the ages of 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 ... (and all multiples of 8) are ages ruled by Venus, planet of love, relationships and encounters. In these ages (new) friendships and, eventually, love almost always will come your way...
This is the more so if you are born under the zodiac signs of Taurus or Libra -- which are both ruled by Venus. This may also apply if Venus culminates in your natal chart (which denotes that Venus is the highest planet or in other words, the planet that is closest to the MC and stands above all other planets and bodies).
  • If your solar return for one of these ages shows favorable aspects to Venus, your love life may prosper for the coming (eight) years.
  • If your solar return for one of these ages shows unfavorable aspects to Venus, your relationships may bring sorrow and/or endings in the coming (eight) years.
There is something else too about the Sun-Venus Synodic Cycle.
If the transiting Sun-Venus conjunction is exactly conjunct one of your personal planets or points (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, MC, Pars Fortuna, Mercury, Venus or Mars) expect a profound change and transformation in your (love) life, the more far-reaching when Venus is retrograde!
Below you can find the transiting Sun-Venus conjunctions for the next couple of years so you can check whether or not this duo conjuncts any of your personal points:
  • March 30, 2005 at 10° Aries (Venus direct)
  • January 13, 2006 at 23° Capricaorn (Venus retrograde)
  • October 27, 2006 at 4° Scorpio (Venus direct)
  • August 17, 2007 at 24° Leo (Venus retrograde)
  • June 8, 2008 at 18° Gemini (Venus direct)
  • March 27, 2009 at 7° Aries (Venus retrograde)
  • January 11, 2010 at 21° Capricorn (Venus direct)
  • October 28, 2010 at 5° Scorpio (Venus retrograde)
  • August 16, 2011 at 23° Leo (Venus direct)
  • June 5, 2012 at 15° Gemini (Venus retrograde)
  • March 28, 2013 at 8° Aries (Venus direct)
  • January 11, 2014 at 21° Capricorn (Venus retrograde)
  • October 24, 2014 at 1° Scorpio (Venus direct)
  • August 15, 2015 at 22° Leo (Venus retrograde)
  • June 6, 2016 at 16° Gemini (Venus direct)
  • March 25, 2017 at 4° Aries (Venus retrograde)
  • January 8, 2018 at 18° Capricorn (Venus direct)
  • October 26, 2018 at 3° Scorpio (Venus retrograde)
  • August 13, 2019 at 21° Leo (Venus direct)
So, check your natal charts and see if in the future one of these conjunctions joins one of your natal personal points and if so, be in for a most important transformation in your (love) life.

Check if, and when, the progressed Moon is EXACTLY (in the same numerical degree) conjunct your (natal or progressed) Vertex. This configuration also tells you when to find love!
The Vertex is said to bring "fated encounters", which we have found to be almost always true, one way or the other.
Also, don't underestimate the influence and importance of Venus or the ruler of your 5th house of love conjoining the Vertex regarding your love life.

Saturn Transits in Astrology – Finding Healthy Responses In Times That Often Seem Difficul

Over the years I’ve heard countless people become very anxious and worry when Saturn is making a conjunction, square, or opposition to their Ascendant or planets in their charts. While Saturn transits can bring tough lessons, it never brings us anything we don’t need.
As I've often told you, the planets merely show our inner function that translates into external actions and experiences. We need to get our Saturn functioning in healthy ways, and do that by consistently practicing Saturn’s strengths and virtues, as well as doing these in appropriate manner when we are tested by a Saturn transit that seems to be jamming our gears.
I did a 3-part series about how to deal with Saturn transits a few years back that I haven’t reprinted since then. All three of these articles are important in getting the full picture of how we can best use Saturn transits to best effect. Please take some time to read or re-read these, since there may be some things that can help you turn a difficult Saturn transit into a fulfilling one.
For your renewed consideration,

Uranus Square Pluto – Exact Dates 2012-2015

By Elsa

Uranus in Aries will square Pluto in Capricorn (exact), seven times between now and the end of March, 2015. Most astrologers agree this will be a tumultuous time of violent upheaval.

When Uranus is involved things happen unexpectedly. With Uranus in Aries, the unexpected comes quickly and when you combine this energy in hard aspect to Pluto which rules death and devastation, I’d say that war is almost a given as are natural disasters. As to where and when these things will take place – with Uranus involved, there is no telling. It’s unpredictable, right? So if you run into some know-it-all making predictions, remember to smirk.

As for dealing well with this energy, I am sure to write about it ad nauseum the way I do everything else but in a nutshell, you want to hone your instincts and be ready to act quickly.

Uranus square Pluto June 26 2012 – 8 degrees
Uranus square Pluto September 19 2012 – 6 degrees
Uranus square Pluto May 21 2013 – 11 degrees
Uranus square Pluto November 1 2013 – 9 degrees
Uranus square Pluto April 21 2014 – 13 degrees
Uranus square Pluto December 15 2014 – 12 degrees
Uranus square Pluto March 17 2015 – 15 degrees

The degrees notes above are in the Cardinal signs so if you have personal planets or angles of your chart near these degrees, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be very personally affected.

On the upside, this combination can bring fast healing. A person can also gain power in a blink of an eye. Just get used to the idea of deep change that seems to occur in the blink of an eye.

Transiting Sun in the Fifth House ~ The Sun is at home in the the fifth house. Self-expression, creative projects, love and romance, fun, playfulness, and children are all ruled by the fifth house. Allow this transit to awaken creativity, spark love, boost confidence, and/or all forms of pleasure back into your life.

Transiting Sun in the Sixth House ~ Health, busy work, service, comfort in routines, and finding order in the details are all ruled by the sixth house. The Sun here shines on much needed lifestyle changes in health habits, or becoming comfortable with taking on the role of someone who "services" others, or perhaps learning to establish boundaries with those who might take advantage of kind gestures.

Transiting Sun in the Seventh House ~ Partnerships (business or otherwise), marriages, committed relationships, and known enemies are all representatives of the seventh house. Our focus turn to our significant other, spouse, or business partner/s. Their basic needs and well-being may be considered prior to our own.

Transiting Sun in the Eighth House ~ The eighth house is multi-faceted and multi-layered. In the physical realm, the eighth house represents sex and shared resources/finances. Your bedroom may get more action than usual while the Sun transits in the eighth. For those in a volatile relationship and are now separating, estranged, or divorcing, issues regarding your "shared" resources and who gets what might be illuminated. Depending on whether the natal Sun is well or ill-aspected would have a bearing how events play out now. In the psychological plane, the eighth house represents power struggles within our own psychological makeup and our ability to embrace the "darker" version of our self without it overpowering us. On a spiritual level, it represents "death and rebirth", transformation, regeneration -- the need for something to "die" in order for a "rebirth" to occur -- as in a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. Planetary transits to the eighth house are generally the most difficult but are also the most powerful.

Transiting Sun in the Ninth House ~ Personal growth (spiritual or otherwise) through higher education, experience, travel, and cultural influences might be highlighted. The ninth house also represents publishing so, if you have dreams of authoring a novella or drafting a script or creating your own blog, the Sun's transit here is an opportune time to pursue publication of something already completed or begin the project.

Transiting Sun in the Tenth House ~ Focus on professional pursuits and long-term goals might take center stage with this transit, as well as establishing or re-establishing your public reputation. If there has been a desire to chart a new course in life or change careers, this is an advantageous period to make solid plans and/or measured steps toward new endeavors. If you are up for a new job, promotion, raise, or one of a few contenders for a project, this transit should help ensure you are chosen over your competitor/s.

Transiting Sun in the Eleventh House ~ Transit in the eleventh house might influence your friendships and associations. Your social calendar may just be booked the duration of the transit as your presence may be required or requested at parties, group gatherings, business networking or meetings, etc. You're charmed and making connections, collecting contacts, and being in the scene to be seen is definitely where you should be!

Transiting Sun in the Twelfth House ~ A challenging transit, the twelfth house, like the eighth house, is also multi-faceted and multi-layered. It is the house of the subconscious, solitude, spiritual consciousness, secrets (ours and those kept from us), hidden enemies, and represents institutions like hospitals and prisons. Any planetary transit through the twelfth house might require a period of "aloneness" in order to "recharge" and sort through issues being presented subconsciously and psychologically. The Sun is uncomfortable in this house and unless a chart is natally 12th house activated or heavily influenced by Neptune/Pisces, this might be a challenging period for you. The important thing to remember is not to resist -- respite is required, maybe not all the time, but more than what you're used to; quality time with the self is also required, so shift your thinking to see solitude as something different from loneliness. Your dreaming mind might be more active during this period, too. If possible, pay more attention to them for they may reveal clues to events/issues within your external world.

Three Eclipses! Where in your life are you being Eclipsed?

The first eclipse is a partial solar eclipse on June 1st at 11 degrees of Gemini. This eclipse will greatly affect Gemini and Sagittarius, but it will also impact all the air signs, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. That's because this eclipse is at a trine aspect to Saturn in Libra which is an air sign. If you've been working very assiduously towards your goals, you may find that you receive long overdue rewards for your efforts. Wherever this falls in your chart will indicate where you may receive acknowledgement for your hard work. If you haven't been focused enough, then you will have an opportunity to create a new structure in order to move forward in that life area more effectively.

The next eclipse is a total lunar eclipse on June 15th at 24 degrees Sagittarius. As this is a total eclipse rather than a partial one, this has even more power than the previous one in Gemini. There will be considerable changes in your life and you may be expected to learn something new, maybe learn some new skills, possibly move to a new area or even a different country. Try not to resist the changes and this eclipse will not disrupt your life too severely. On a global level, there could be issues with travel, technology, computers, cars, planes, trains, roads and general communications. Try to maintain an open and flexible attitude.

The last eclipse is a partial solar eclipse on July 1st at 9 degrees Cancer. This is potentially the most challenging of all three as it makes some difficult aspects with the other planets. It will greatly affect the cardinal signs: Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra. Depending on where it falls in your chart it could mean relationship problems, changes in your relationships especially with your family. It could mean a move and financial challenges, even your health may be affected. There is also the potential for huge profits from a business and also to meet your soul mate. These energies are very powerful and have an affect for at least six months or longer.

Eclipses and What They Mean in Your Life:

Look at your chart and see where the eclipse falls and you will have a period of about a year in which this life area will be stimulated. You will feel as though you don't have much choice, but you have to deal with issues facing you now and you cannot procrastinate any longer. There's usually a build up period of six months before the actual eclipse and consequences that need to be dealt with in the six months following the eclipse.

- Take charge of your career

- Start a new career path

Forecasting with Transits

The planets are always moving around the zodiac. As they make angles (aspects) to places where planets Were when you were born, things willTend to happen in your life. This section lists what each individual aspect means. Several possibilities are listed for each transit since they can work out in different ways, depending on the context of your birth chart, and, of course, your stage of life. Transiting Uranus making a conjunction with the natal position (the placement in the birth chart) of Venus will not produce a love affair in the horoscope of a two-year old. Nor will Jupiter crossing the Mid-Heaven of a homeless drug addict suddenly produce “advancement in career”.

Another word of warning. Never try to make a forecast based on just one factor alone. Look at them all because you never can tell. Beginners always make that mistake (and even some practicing astrologers!). That Jupiter aspect you were counting on to increase your money may be canceled out by that accident aspect between Uranus and Mars. Be sure to Check everything before making that forecast.

Progressions are calculated as follows. Each day  after your birth is taken as being equivalent to one year of your life. For example, if you want to find your progressions for when you were 15 years old, you would calculate a new horoscope for 15 Days after your were born (same year, same place of birth, and same time of day). That will be your Progressed Horoscope for age 15.

Then, you check to see if there are any aspects in the progressed chart that are within one degree of being exact. You also compare the progressed chart with your birth horoscope to see if any of the progressed planets are making aspects to your birth planets. Again, all aspects must be within one degree of being exact. These will be the aspects that will influence you during that time. And they can influence you for a long time.  Click on the planet links below and learn how each individual aspect means when we discuss transits.

Pluto Transit

Pluto, in prediction, is a neutral planet. Transiting Pluto brings major, life altering change, for better or worse, depending upon the other transiting planets and the life patterns in the birth chart. Pluto is neither positive or negative. The changes resulting from a Pluto transit are permanent.

Pluto rules intensity and obsession. When it contacts natal planets by transit, it sometimes intensifies them, especially in the case of Venus, where it can cause deep, obsessive love. The Venus/Pluto contacts are the bringers of fatal attractions where the love is one sided.

TRANSITING PLUTO:

To the natal Sun-
When Pluto contacts the Sun, there are changes in one's self image. This transit often brings one into contact with his/her own power. The Sun rules the male partner in a woman's chart, the Father, the male boss, men who are seen as authority, and children, especially male. These changes can affect these male figures in one's personal life. For example, rarely, there can be death of the father. The house cusp(s) with the sign of Leo (see) are areas there is likely to be major change. The house that contains the Sun can also be affected. Look to the house where Pluto is making the transit from, for clues to where the changes will take place.

To the natal Moon-
Domestic change. Moving house, someone being born, someone dying, someone leaving, someone coming to live in the same house. or changes that affect one's family members and home. Look to other planetary transits to determine whether this change is positive or negative. Transiting Pluto aspecting the Moon from the 5th house, often signifies a birth. Pluto aspecting from the 8th, often a death.

To the natal Mercury-
Often a period of intense learning and mental activity. One will go through changes in one's views. During this transit, one may transform one's self through intense learning, either formal or informal. Meditation and other psychic exercises will act to transform the mind at this time. Also look to the house cusps with Gemini and Virgo; the house containing the natal Mercury and the house where transiting Pluto is making the aspects from. One may become obsessed with a subject.

To the natal Venus-
This transit usually incites deep, intense love. This love can descend into obsession, especially if one sided. There can be a painful quality to the love. Emotions can be out of one's control. There can be changes in regards to finances, as Venus rules money and material possessions. Check house cusps that have Taurus and Libra, the house containing Venus and the house where pluto is making the transit from.

"A Pluto transit to Venus may potentially undermine a relationship and threaten its security, and one of the partner’s may express unexpressed feelings of resentment towards the other. Either individual may experience some kind of trauma or crisis in their personal life. New and existing relationships undergo crisis and change and there is often a fated quality to all personal interactions during this transit. Pluto forces us to find our own inner values and resources, and to radically transform the way we relate." (Julie Rimmer)

To the natal Mars-
This is a good transit for increasing one's self confidence and self esteem. During this time, one feels more in control and in some cases, receives outstanding recognition of some sort. People undergoing this transit, often find themselves more competitive, aggressive, determined and intense. One often has more physical stamina and can devote him/herself entirely and intensively in a selected project. The project can become an obsession and much work can get done. Check the houses with Aries on the cusp(s); the house containing Mars and the house Pluto is transiting from for areas where possible additional changes will occur.

To the natal Jupiter-
Changes in one's religious beliefs, philosophies and views. With the conjunction, square and opposition, these can be drastic. With the trine and sextile, one's beliefs can be deepened and strengthened. Check the house(s) with Sagittarius on the cusp, the house containing Jupiter and the house Pluto is making the transit from.

To the natal Saturn-
There may be changes in one's foundation beliefs. One's concept of reality may go through permanent changes. Enlightenment can be in the form of upheaval. This transit usually affects the affairs of the house(s) that has Capricorn on the cusp and the house containing Saturn. Saturn also rules old people and there may be changes in regards to them if one has any that are within one's personal circle. Look to the house where Pluto is making the transit from.

To the natal Uranus, Neptune and Pluto-
I have found when transiting Pluto contacts these natal planets, the affairs that undergo change are within the house cusps that contain the signs that they rule. Aquarius, for Uranus, Pisces, for Neptune and Scorpio for Pluto aspecting itself. With Uranus, in rare cases, there may be some change connected to one's freedom or lack of; Neptune, drugs, music, art, alchohol, Pluto to itself is a generational influence. Affairs with the house with Scorpio on the cusp can undergo changes.

To the chart ruler-
In addition to the above, there will be major, permanent personal changes. Look to the house where transiting Pluto is in to see what areas of one's life they will affect.

To the ruler of the 2nd house- financial, or material changes.
To the ruler of the 3rd house- changes in thinking, brothers/sisters, relatives, neighbors
To the ruler of the 4th house- changes in home, family, the mother
To the ruler of te 5th house- changes in regards to children; a birth, changes in regards to athletics or creative projects.
To the ruler of the 6th house- changes in health and/or work
To the ruler of the 7th house- marriage, divorce, sometimes legal issues, changes in regards to partnership.
To the ruler of the 8th house- changes in joint finances, debts, sex.
To the ruler of the 9th house- beginning or ending higher (university) education, possible long distance immigration, possible changes in religious beliefs/philosophies.
To the ruler of the 10th house- career changes
To the ruler of the 11th house- permanently joining a group or organization, permanent friendships or breaking up with the above mentioned. Permanent changes in goals.
To the ruler of the 12th house- changes in consciousness, in rare cases, imprisonment or incarceration. Good time for occult studies, spiritual understanding, meditation and healing.

PLUTO THROUGH THE HOUSES:

Pluto crosses the Ascendent-
There will be major changes. A long distance move, changes in relationships, a career break, attainment of power/position. One's life will never be the same again.

Pluto through the 1st house- Pluto remains in this house anywhere from 12- 31 years. During this time, drastic changes in self can occur. Physical changes such as weight loss, self improvement, obsession with one's self and goals, personal accomplishments. This transit is usually positive, but in rare cases, the life altering changes can be for the worst.

Pluto through the 2nd house- obtaining money and material possessions can become an all out obsession, there can be drastic changes in these areas. Winning large amounts of money, or major losses can occur. An overwhelming need for security, usually financial.

Thinking can become more intense. Meditation, contemplation, obsession with obtaining knowledge, deeper relationships with siblings. When Pluto crosses the I.C., there will be changes in regards to the home and family. Long distance moves and changes of residence are common. If other factors in the chart support it, there can be marriage. There can be divorce, illness, death in the family, but in most cases, a move of residence. Career changes are also possible.

Pluto through the 4th house- Major repairs of home and property, family ties may either be deepened or broken, people coming to live in your home and/or people leaving. Intense creative projects, passionate love affairs. Gambling at this time can become an addiction. In very rare cases, winning at gambling. A strong need for recognition. Sometimes one sided love obsessions occur.

Changes in employment, career. This is a good time for healing. There can be workaholic tendencies. In rare cases, diseases and negative changes in health.

Pluto crosses the Decendant- Changes in relationships. If one is married, often death of the spouse or divorce. If one is single, there can be meeting with one's soul mate; an all consuming union.

Pluto through the 7th house- Partnerships of all kinds go through major changes and are never the same. In new love relationships, there will be extreme depth of feeling. There can also be significant legal issues. Others will exert strong influences and incite personal changes in the person whose 7th house is being transited by Pluto. Attractions to dominating, strong secretive types, those in positions of power. There can be partnerships formed, business alliances or love/sexual associations with people in positions of power. Sometimes these will be kept secret.

Pluto through the 8th house- changes in debt, joint finances. Filing bankruptcy. Obsession with the mysteries of death, the occult and supernatural. In rare cases, death. Legacies and major changes of all sorts cn occur with Pluto transiting the 8th. Obsession with fetishes and intense sexuality.

Pluto through the 9th house- Changes in religious beliefs, fanaticism in beliefs, long distance travel or immigation, This is a good time for learning and education. At this time, one can attract powerful teachers for better or worse. There may be changes in regards to in-laws or the partner's relatives. This transit signifies intense involvement with religion, other cultures, metaphysics, philosophy, education and the law. lso, a second marriage is possible, as the 9th rules the second major relationship (marriage).

Pluto crosses the Midheaven- Career and major life changes in regards to one's standing and status, for better or worse.

Pluto through the 10th house- Career changes, obsession with getting ahead and power. There may be changes in regards to the father. Workaholic tendencies and strong ambitions. There is a possibility for fame, coming before the public, special recognition and honors. One may at this time be appointed to a position of power.

Pluto through the 11th house- changes in regards to friends, goals and groups. One may at this time, join a group or organization permanently. Powerful and influential friends may enter into one's life at this time. Obsession with goals and ambitions. One may also be placed in a position of power in a group or organization. Friendships will begin and others will end under this transit.

Pluto through the 12th house- This transit can either be for better or worse. At worst, powerful and deadly enemies can enter into one's life, long term incarceration and imprisonment, diseases that are long lasting and/or permanent, isolation. The person, at this time, may have an intense desire to be alone, or this can be forced upon one, through circumstances. There can be restriction and confinement, mentally or physically.

In sublimating this energy, meditation, metaphysical pursuits, psychic empowerment exercises and other forms of occult study application should be consistently worked on. This is a good time to develop intuitive powers and psychic energy.

Secrets at this time are of unusual importance. One may be involved in research, or some kind of secret activities.
